"This was an excellent hotel for touring Turin. The location being close to the main railway station meant that everything was within walking distance - from the Royal Palce to the River Po. The Hotel itself is a traditional one with marble floors and caged lift. Although breakfast choice was quite limited it was adequate and the staff very helpful and friendly. Recommended."

"Although my scores may not seem outstanding, I did like the Bijou more than they might suggest. It is a friendly, comfortable, quiet hotel just outside the centre of Turin. The room was fine, and clean - the shower door came off a little too readily, but we weren't too bothered with that. Everything worked, and the three key criteria (bed, shower, noise) were fine. Facilities, etc. were not luxurious, but certainly comfortable. Most rooms have balconies. There was plenty of car parking (given there are eight rooms). From the map I got the impression it was in rolling countryside - not quite, since it's only 1km outside Turin centre; it's located on a climbing B-road, with other houses / agricultural buildings nearby, but the feeling is still of space and relaxation. There's also a handy bus from right outside that passes the Main Railway Station and right though the centre. Walking, it's a nice 25-minute walk into the historical centre. Whoever was on duty when we passed reception was friendly, happy to chat, very helpful, and willing to open the door even at 3am on a Sunday morning, when we got back from the Opera. We were looking for a clean, quiet, relaxing, competitively-priced hotel with easy access to Turin, to spend a relaxing break; as opposed to the bustling, tiny hotel rooms available in the centre for more money. Bijou gave us exactly that, and I'd be happy to return."

Initially, they gave me a small room, but it was a smoking room. I asked to change to a non-smoking room. The only non-smoking rooms available were larger rooms, so they offered me an upgrade- no additional charge. The only complaint was that the heater control was sporadic, but they eventually fixed that. If you need a place close to the train station so that you can take the train to ski at Sestriere, or Sauze d'Oulx or check out the Olympics, this is it. Its just a few steps to the station; bring your board or skis for the hour long ride up to Oulx."

"A clean, modern hotel, entirely satisfactory. The bed is the size of a soccer field. The breakfast buffet (included in room charge) is magnificent. The hotel's decision to forgo soap in favor of vials of liquid soap is a bit unusual, but if it bothers you, go to the shops behind the hotel and buy a bar of soap. The only problem is that the location is far from downtown; but the city bus system is excellent and the buses come almost to the door. In addition, the hotel has no restaurant and there are no restaurants in the neighborhood. Da Benito, in Via Siracusa, is the nearest; fortunately, it is excellent."

"Le Petit was very easy to find, even walking at night from the train station. Most of the reception clerks did not speak much English but we were able to get directions to a nearby cafe for a late dinner. "I stayed at the Le Petit in March the last night of a two week stay in Italy ... had gone from Rome to Naples the Alps for a week and then Turin. I wish I would have had a couple more days in Turin. Staying at the hotel Le Petit was great in many ways. It was on a pedestrian only street in the center of the city so it was prefect for strolling around. I wouldn't recommend walking to it from the train station if you have several pieces of luggage, but it is an inexpensive taxi ride away. I was given a "special" internet price which I had seen on a separate site, so that really pleased me. The hotel check in desk was the typical simple small lobby. We were shown to a nice size room that overlooked a courtyard, so the city noizes were kept to a minimum. The bathroom was as roomy as the rest of the room. There were all the modern conveniences. The hotel lobby had cultural and other tourist information available to review. I love traveling and try not to spend all of my money on hotels, so I feel this was a great choice and I would highly recommend the hotel to others. By the way, we are two gay guy friends who were treated no differently than any other persons would be. The price, location and comfort were all excellent. Houston, Texas USA".
